Fried Egg

A simple egg. Somehow people still manage to mess this up.

🧂 Ingredients

  • Egg One or more, any size
  • Butter or oil To taste
  • Salt & pepper To taste

📑 Steps

  1. Heat a pan on medium with a little butter or oil.
  2. Prepare your egg:
    • Sunny side up: crack into the pan, cook without flipping until the white is set but the yolk is runny.
    • Over easy: cook sunny side up, then flip and cook for just 15–30 seconds.
    • Over medium: flip and cook for about 1 minute for a partially set yolk.
    • Over hard: flip and cook for 2–3 minutes until the yolk is fully set.
    • Scrambled: whisk eggs in a bowl, pour into the pan, and stir gently until just set.
    • Omelette: whisk eggs, pour into the pan, let set, add fillings, and fold in half.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve immediately. Cold eggs are a cry for help.
